Fourth Grade LEEP

Languages Extended Exploration Program (LEEP)
for 4th Grade Students

Each year, Hillsborough Township Public Schools is pleased to offer the Languages Extended Exploration Program (LEEP) at Auten Road Intermediate School. This after-school program is offered at no cost to Hillsborough families. This year, however, due to current restrictions caused by the pandemic, we are pleased to offer a virtual LEEP Program!

As elementary students currently receive exposure to Chinese and Spanish, LEEP was designed to provide interested 4th-grade students with the opportunity to explore the additional world languages (French, German, and Italian) offered at Auten Road Intermediate School. This program will have four sessions from March 1 - March 26, with sessions lasting Monday - Friday.

  • You may register your child for one or all three languages (one language per session).
  • During each session, students will be exposed to an introductory understanding of the language and culture, so students may only take each language session once. (For example: you should not enroll for a French session two weeks in a row, as this would just be a repetition of the same session.)
  • As registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, no sessions are guaranteed.
  • All sessions are created based on sufficient enrollment.

All parents will be notified the week prior to the start of the session via email regarding the status of the sessions and will be given the Google Meet code for their students to use for this virtual program. The program is completely voluntary and free to all 4th-grade students enrolled in Hillsborough Township Public Schools.

Registration for this year's LEEP Program is now closed.
