The HMS 7th & 8th grade string orchestra program is a continuation of the 6th grade orchestra experience. The HMS program is continuing to grow and offers great opportunities for mastering technique and music reading skills through rehearsals, small group lessons, and performance.

Hillsborough Middle School features three orchestras:

CO - Concert Orchestra is the 7th grade orchestra. Rehearsals are every Wednesday during the school day.

SO - Symphonic Orchestra is the 8th grade orchestra. Rehearsals are every Wednesday during the school day.

AO - Advanced Orchestra is a teacher-selected group of 7th and 8th graders. Rehearsals take place at 7:15 a.m. on Tuesdays beginning in October.
